” But that’s the paradox of loss: how can something that’s gone weigh us down so much?”

They say that the sense of smell is closely linked with memory, even more so than any
of our other senses. This booklet is inspired by memories recalled by scents and the
nostalgia that they bring with them. The booklet replicates the experience of remembering
something triggered by a scent; the motion of calling a memory into being and trying to
grasp something that is ephemeral. The repeating images in the booklet exist fleetingly
throughout the pages like a fraction of a memory. The booklet fades in and fades out
and the reader experiences both by being immersed and then pushed out.
